Summer Loving

Hi there everybody, it’s been a while since I’ve done a lookpost so welcome to the first one of 2015!

Last year I started off my look post series with a burst of colour with Kelly Poole by shooting in Bo-Kaap, this year, I went just around the corner to Prestwich Memorial to take a few soft looking photos putting the focus on the beading of my dress and accessories.

I’m wearing a simple, R130 dress from China Town. Am I the only one obsessed with buying affordable dresses and splurging on items like this amazing Blackcherry Bag.

Actually, to be honest, my hubby purchased this bag on Spree as a surprise gift and I love it!

This bag is so versatile. It comes with an additional sling that clips on effortlessly and allows you to transform it from it’s original state to a satchel.

Hope you have a great day guys and girls!

Hi my lovelies! Today I bring you a first, an event shot by yours truly.

The oh so gorgeous Dee had one of the best kitchen tea’s around thrown by those near and dear to her on the 14th of December 2014. Her mom, my aunt, Maureen, one of the baddest most fab mamma-jammas if there ever was one, knew that I have a special bond with my Canon camera. A bond of “where I go, she goes” and so she asked me to shoot one of the most spectacular events a young woman gets to experience.

The day was magical, everything went to plan. The sun was shining and the weather was sweet, yeah! If I start describing how it was we’ll be here all 2015 so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Hendrick’s Gin {Gin-O’Clock}

After a fellow blogger admitted to still trying to post all of her 2014 events I didn’t feel that bad about the fact that I’m still trying to play catch-up!

Being a blogger is a lot of work. Even if you don’t have a bond, child, husband or any other real world responsibilities so please be forgiving as we bring you edited imagery (because normal images you can find on 9gag) and witty content because you deserve it!

Let’s get onto the post….

For the night, I went “all natural” with curly sue hair and a simple day to night outfit. I swapped out my flats for heels and my cardi for this chic waterfall blazer from YDE. These shoes are so comfortable and they were a bargain on sale for only R150 at Traffic in Canal Walk.

So in 2004 I attended the Hendricks Gin event with my long time friend and journo Nicola Daniels, better known as Miss Nikkee Dee to her plethora of followers.

We enjoyed delicious canapés, amazing conversations with the guests as well as the main attraction, Hendrick’s Gin.

This is every foodies dream!

This barman was so funny and whipped up drinks in a jiffy with his amazing flaring skills while keeping everyone engaged with his entertaining conversation.

Thank you to Butter Knife PR and Hendrick’s Gin for an awesome event!
